The ERP, CRM and different management applications of our customers, can receive data from Kyros quickly and easily without the need for plug-ins, developments or extra HW, through the new Kyros API.

INDOOR LOCATION – ASSETS AND PEOPLE TRACKING

KYROS is a complete platform, which integrates satellite, RF and infrared (IR) technologies among others for Healthcare application such us patients location on Hospitals or Senior care centres. The indoor location system is based in non-intrusive bracelets carrying by the patient, as well as a set of receiving antennas.  All these elements enable to control and monitor the patients in order to avoid they can get lost or escape; it is also possible to manage and handle the exits, lifts, stairs, corridors…; and at the same time,  people are located inside the buildings or facilities.

Besides, KYROS enables to establish performance protocols for each situation, depending on the located patient or its location.

The following figure shows the complete system, formed by the mentioned elements above: RF-IR bracelet, receiving antennas of radio signal, personal computer installed in the retirement home and KYROS server. All these elements working together guarantee information processing and remote access by the users through any internet connection.

Patients carry a bracelet that combines technologies, radio frequency and infrared. In the building, bracelet connects to the network of receiving antennas to locate the user inside; if patient tries to leave, the system identifies the patient enters a forbidden area for the user, and it generates the defined alarm. This alarm is received by the assistance personal in the facilities, so they have information about the exact patient location.

Bracelet detection allows activating automatic systems, such as alarms, SMS sending, emails, or any other type of actions in the buildings; for example, doors locking, loudspeakers messages, and activation of other emergency protocols and measures….

In addition to the described bracelet, Deimos offers different location and identification solutions as an alternative: for example, necklaces, cards, key rings, with or without sensors, panic buttons…. Customers have a wide variety of devices, so they can select the most appropriate one, which adapts to the specific patient needs.

The quality and reliability of our solutions provides quietness and calm to the facilities responsible, as well as to the relatives of the monitored patient.

The service pattern provided is ASP Net Web through Internet. Customer needs to install an RF infrastructure inside the facilities, which does not imply a great investment, and it is easily installed. System does not have complicated wiring or conduits because it is based in IR (Infrared) and RF (Radio Frequency). The only requirement for the system is to connect each receiving device to a power source voltage of 220 volts, as well as to FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to the servers rack.

Kyros Platform – Location based services for Indoor People Tracking 

Deimos commercializes KYROS® application since 2005. It is a management and decisions support on-cloud /web platform, which is able to manage different mobile elements: from bracelets for patients to management of the rest of involved personnel and assets like: vehicles, health personnel, assets and outstanding places (hospital, police stations…).

Moreover Kyros® is able to collect information provided by temporal support devices, which are involved (health personnel, ambulances…). This information is displayed in the system, both in real time and as activity history playback.

The system provides a set of functionalities focused to anticipate customers´ needs in order to satisfy the different requirements in nursing homes, clinics, hospitals… The system will provide an integral system to control and manage people location.

Kyros enables to know patients location, identify each of them, associating their personal data to the protocol action. It also allows defining, receiving alerts and processing them as efficiently and quickly as possible in order to reduce the response times, assuring information flows.

System categorizes and filters information, so information is displayed clearly (in a useful and efficient manner) for the users of the system, depending on the settings. Computer, installed in the facilities, will display all the issued alerts, even if there is no internet connection, while Web Access will offer all information related to the alerts: location, reports…..

This software is installed in the computer located in the Senior care centre. It enables to manage real-time alarms, and locate them in exact places where they happen inside the buildings.

When an alert occurs, Kyros desktop application receives it and an icon is displayed on the screen. That means the system operator has not processed the alarm yet. Main platform also receives the information to generate a SMS warning to notice the system responsible.

Kyros web Acces 

Kyros has a web access (www.kyros.es) any register would sing in using the validated user name and password. Kyros shows on the map the real-time location and status of the patients. System also shows if patients are under coverage of the deployed network. Furthermore, it allows knowing if patients are within the configured permitted area, or if they are outside this zone. Depending on the configuration of device, alarm are issued and shown when requires, so the responsible will decide and execute the corrective measures that must be applied in each case.

Application refreshes automatically the data and exact time of update is recorded in the system.

Kyros® enables to view on the map the location of RF bracelets in real time. This feature can be very useful to locate a patient in case of an urgent or critical need.

Several bracelets can be monitored at the same time. It is also possible to activate automatic refresh in the application, so it makes use easier for the user.

Once Kyros® generates or receives any kind of alert that can mean a potentially dangerous situation for the patient, remote control PC sends a notice event that informs about the type of emergency occurred.  Kyros receives and processes the alarm within a high priority level, according the following chart:

  • Kyros processes the alert and notifies it to the web operator so there is an immediate reaction. It is possible to configure sending of alerts, either via email and/or via SMS.

  • The patient alert icon would disappear in the main list of devices and enter in the list of Activated Alarm and/or Activated Emergency.

Kyros Web operators check patient alert status and alert protocol that he may follow.

User can generate alerts reports using all the stored data in the system. To reach alerts report user may select the dates range to obtain the required information.

Location data reports can be exported to different formats: pdf, excel in order to be analysed according to specific needs. Creation of reports can be configured regularly in the system; reports can be sent to a specified mailbox, and they are usually received in an excel format.

Finally, Kyros provides a monitoring module that allows knowing the status of readers and RFID bracelets; this is possible due to test messages sent to the devices. This module is divided as followed: control responsible of RFID receivers and the tags monitoring module.

KYROS enables to create map zones associated to a maximum permitted speed.

In this way, every time any of your vehicles or devices exceeds maximum speed according to the limit defined in the system, a new over-speed event will be generated.

All these events are stored in Kyros as they are received, they can be displayed in the map with specific icons; alerts and notices can be configured depending on your needs. Reports can be obtained in different formats.

On the map, and with the help of the bottom reports zone, we know how our drivers behave at a glance.

As long as we need detailed or activity history information of devices, we can request a report including all the violations committed by a specific vehicle.

PLAYBLACK JOURNEY MODULE

PLAYBACK. AUTOMATIC JOURNEY REPRODUCTION

KYROS enables to request past trips (historic data) within the last 3 months. When we request tracking for some days, the journey is displayed immediately on the map. It shows the tracking achieved by our devices between the selected dates.

However, if the tracking is intensive and complex, and it is full of numerous events, Kyros offers a specific tool in these cases when it is difficult to interpret the route and events on it. In order to help users with the analysis of information, KYROS provides a tool to reproduce the route point by point. The most relevant information of each location is displayed, and each location sent by the device is shown on the map.

To get access to the Playback tool, you simply click on any tracking point on the map to deploy the tooltip. Then select in the action tab – PLAYBACK.

Once the playback starts, it is possible to go forwards, go backwards; it is also available to pause, continue and control the speed playback. For each point that is shown on the map, associated information is displayed in the playback pop-up window, including geocoding when the location is associated to a relevant event.

ADVANCED MANAGEMENT OF ROUTES

KYROS provides an advanced management tool of ROUTES. It enables to plan and schedule routes, as well as verifies the degree of compliance of any of the defined routes and itineraries.

KYROS calculates automatically routes between two points that we select on the map; routes can be recalculated at any time, according to any intermediate points added in the route. This created route can be stored in the system to be used recurrently; these routes can be applied to any desired devices, or even to groups of devices in fleets. Several tools are also available to manage with routes (modifying, eliminating beacons, recalculating, optimizing, and even sending routes to a vehicle navigator display).

Once the route is generated and stored in the system, we can manage and assign the route to the vehicles or devices we are interested in at every time. It is also possible to add calendars related to each route, so they can only be effective between the dates and days selected. We can also modify the location of each beacon of the route, describing them briefly.

KYROS also enables to generate reports for each created route and each vehicle assigned to the route; consequently we have information about the degree of compliance or each route, as we can detect non-completed beacons, alterations in the delivery order, time spent in a route, time when the vehicle passes points of route,…..

NEW DRIVER MESSAGING MODULE

In order to improve the ordinary management duties, KYROS enables us to communicate directly from the application itself with the users, responsible, drivers and/or personal locators´ holders. Just clicking with the right mouse button on any of the managed devices, we have access to the messaging module. It enables us to set a voice call (*) or send a text message or email to any of the responsible or users associated to the device.

(*) It is necessary specific connection to a BTL line (Basic Telephone Line)

 When message is sent we are requested to select the user or driver, already assigned through the administration KYROS tool. In the case of sending an email, there is no additional cost and only we must be sure that the mail account is correct. On the other hand, if SMS is sent messages bonus must be contracted. Every sending is deducted from the total of bonus contracted. Several devices or fleets within a company can share this bonus.

KYROS also enables to send messages and duties to an embarked device (*). In this case, KYROS has a complete management of sent/received messages. It allows defining fixed messages that are usually used (so it is not necessary to write them every time), sending duties or tasks according to their location and date (deliveries, collections, maintenance services….) and accessing to the messages history record exchanging between the operator and the driver.

NEARBY DEVICES SEARCH

KYROS provides a very useful functionality. We can search for nearby devices from any place in the map, as well as information associated to them. This tool enables to find out which ambulances or emergency teams are available and closer to a place of incidence.  It is also useful if we need to reach and assign a delivery/collect vehicle due to a new order customer.

Searching can be managed in terms of these three conditions:

  • Close to a certain device
  • Close to a POI
  • Close to any point on the map

 KYROS does not only search among the registered devices in the system, but it is also able to look for any other any interest point stored in the application (customers, fuel stations, department stores….). When we get access to the searching module, KYROS allows defining the radius area to search; it also gives us the possibility to select either searching for devices, or POIs, or both. In case we choose showing the POIS, a new pop-up window appears to select the POIs categories we are interested in.

As a result, KYROS displays graphically those devices or POIs on the map according to the parameters of radius introduced before. The zone is marked in orange on the map.

REAL-TIME MOBILE RESOURCES TRACKING

KYROS allows monitoring all our devices and mobile resources, either in real time, or historical.

From the main window of maps in the system, we access to the most relevant information of each of the managed devices. One or more devices can be displayed on the screen with their last stored location. System refreshes automatically location of vehicles according to configuration determined. Each device can be assigned with a different icon that allows us to distinguish it from the rest clearly. KYROS also includes a code of colors in order to differentiate information about the device status at every time (blue – current location, grey – previous location, red – device with an emergency activated…). It also includes icons to show all the events KYROS can manage in order to give graphical information at a glance (stop, start, pause or standby, excess speed, entry in zone, accident….)

From the same window KYROS allows consulting and checking history activity routes of some devices, so we can review the itineraries achieved by the devices and compare to the deviations performed. In addition to this information, under the map area we can obtain graphical reports of the selected devices at every time (speed graphics, altitude, last received events….)

In the lower part of the map, detailed information about last sent event of each device is available. It is shown information of date, time, location and possible specific events for each device.

All this information is linked directly to the representation of device on the map, so, if we select any device from the list, the map will focus and centre showing location with a flag. At the same time, a tooltip deploys showing all information associated.

There is also an option to export information in an Excel file.

Funcionalidades Kyros - Conexión a Canbus

CANBUS CONNECTION

New devices make not only avoid expensive installations, but also keep in saving and monitoring the driving mode in your vehicles. This new device is connected directly to the CAN BUS of vehicle. It extracts information about revolutions, consumptions, travelled distances,… consequently the device can generate real-time alerts in our KYROS Platform about different settings of driving: accelerations, hard braking, over-revolutions of engine (RPM), emergency stop,…

Besides, if any activity history of routes is required system will provide a graph including vehicle speed and engine revolutions.

Your fleet drivers can be instructed to adapt their driving manners, thanks to all information we obtain through devices connected to CAN BUS. Their driving modes will go on adapting and changing in order to find a desired efficient and eco-driving mode. Consequently, company saves in fuel consumptions, avoids engine malfunctions and failures in the engine, as well as extends the time between periodic maintenance of vehicles.

PERFORMANCE & EVENTS REPORTS

Any location device or tracker is not particularly valuable if it isn´t supported by more information. This information can help and reinforce the location itself (for example, a stop event associated to the location itself); it can also help to reinforce information related to location of other events or entities (for example, location has been sent outside the working hours, location is close to POI …)

KYROS is the platform in charge of value and rate each received location, storing, processing, analysing, and generating value-added information. Customers received this value-added information as reports after processing information stored. Nowadays, KYROS provides more than 40 types of different reports, and we are still developing new ones according to the specific needs of each of our customers.

The current reports provided by KYROS are not only restricted to location devices, but they can also be associated to activity of drivers or users of those devices; for example, reports about routes created by users, groups of devices, or events associated to POIs that each customer could manage.

Kyros Reports

Each report can be required for a certain device, or the same report can be obtained for some devices. In the last case, KYROS will display a report that includes at the beginning a comparative graph of all devices selected. All reports can be viewed in the computer or they can be exported in some formats, which are available in KYROS: excel or pdf; so they can be stored for a further processing.

There is also an option to send the reports directly to the Kyros user, if required by them.
